Tri-Band GSM GPRS and SMS Module
Integrated Tri-Band GSM module for SMS or GSRS remote monitoring and control applications.
GSM GPRS and SMS Module
GSM GPRS and SMS Module
The PicoServ GSM module together with the PicoServ series of I/O and Web Server modules can be used to simply add SMS or Web/GPRS remote access capability.

The PicoServ GSM module can be used to provide remote access to systems by using SMS messaging from a mobile or GSM enabled computer system, or alternatively provide web browser, Internet access to remote systems via GPRS.

The built-in tri-band GSM cellular engine and is compatible with all 900, 1800 or 1900Mhz GSM networks.

Wireless Web Server Application
Wireless Web Server Application
By extending the remote monitoring and control capabilities of a PicoServ system to GSM/GPRS the applications possibilities are extended to those where either the user or the monitored system are remotely located or mobile.

SMS Gateway Functions
The SMS gateway functions of the GSM module can provide truly remote personal situation awareness. Mobile users can contact and request information from a PicoServ based system and up to 16 nominated users can receive notification of events or when preset limits are reached.

With The PicoServ SMS module you can use a mobile phone to:
• Monitor the status of systems or equipment.
• Send control commands to remote equipment.
• Receive notification of events or when preset limits are reached.

Input/Output
The GSM/SMS module can be used with all the standard PicoServ interface modules which simply plug in and provide a range of analogue and digital inputs and outputs. This method provides a ‘no development’, real-world interface, making the input and output variables available to the user via a mobile phone, or with the addition of the web server module, via the Internet.

Connecting to the Network
The PicoServ Integrated GSM GPRS and SMS module has a built-in tri-band GSM engine and is compatible with all 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM networks. A SIM card (network subscription) is required; a contract or pay-as-you go subscription can be used. The type of subscription needed will depend on the type of application and particularly the mix of outgoing and incoming SMS messages in a SMS application. For a GPRS web based application a SIM subscription which offers a fixed IP address is recommended. Compulogic are able to offer competitive fixed IP, data only SIM subscriptions.
